- Plesk for Linux
An IP address of the server got blacklisted with the following message:
PLESK_INFO: 203.0.113.2 was found to be using the following name as the HELO/EHLO parameter during connections: "localhost.localdomain"
The Plesk server does not have a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
Change a hostname of the server to a fully qualified domain name (FQDN):
1.1. In Plesk go to Tools & Settings > Server Settings and specify a FQDN, then click OK:
If QMail is used as a mail server (this can be checked at Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings > Installed mail server), perform additional steps below. Postfix users can move to step 3.
2.1. Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.
2.2. Open the file /var/qmail/control/me in a text editor and specify the same hostname as on step 1. The content of the file should look as below:
# cat /var/qmail/control/me
2.3. Restart QMail:
# service qmail restart
Once done, contact blacklist owners and report that the hostname has been changed to FQDN.
