Upgrade to Onyx: /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf is not a symlink

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk Onyx for Linux

Symptoms

With Apache 2.4, enabled modules are symlinks to a real file.

The upgrade to Plesk Onyx creates /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf as a file.

Cause

Plesk bug with ID # PPPM-5821 .The fix will be included in the future Plesk updates.

Resolution

As a workaround:

  1. Copy dir.conf file:
    # cp /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf /etc/apache2/mods-available/dir.conf
  2. Create a symlink:
    # ln -sf /etc/mods-available/dir.conf /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf
