How to enable DMARC in Plesk?
The DMARC feature is available starting from Plesk Onyx. To enable it, perform the following steps:
Note: MailEnable mail server does not support DMARC feature. For more information about DMARC protection, visit this Plesk documentation page.
In Plesk go to Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings.
On the Mail Server Settings page scroll down to the DMARC section and enable the option Enable DMARC to check incoming mail.
On Linux servers, DMARC feature requires DKIM and SPF to be enabled.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
If the DMARC feature is enabled, but the DMARC record is missing in DNS settings, add it using the below steps:
In Plesk go to Domains > example.com > DNS Settings.
Add a new record:
PLESK_INFO: Record type: TXT
Domain name: _dmarc
TXT record: v=DMARC1; p=none
Note: Enabling DMARC feature may cause the issue where email between mailboxes of the same domain will be rejected.
To add DMARC record for all domains use DNS Template:
- Go to Tools & Settings > DNS Template
- Add DMARC record;
- Apply changes under Tools & Settings > DNS Template > Apply DNS Template Changes > Apply the changes to all zones
