Let's Encrypts certificate cannot be configured for MailEnable

Symptoms

Let's Encrypts certificate cannot be set for MailEnable on Windows through Certificate for securing mail option in Tools & Settings > SSL/TLS Certificates .

The following error can be found in SMTP-Activity-<date>.log :

454 TLS not available due to temporary reason

Cause

The issue is caused by the bug with ID # PPPM-5781 which was fixed in Plesk Onyx Update 18 .

Resolution

Install the latest Plesk micro-updates .

As a workaround:

1. Set certificate at MailEnabltAdmin > Servers > localhost > Properties > SSL tab > SSL certificate

2. Specify additional 465 port for SMTP connector (tab Inbound > Port settings section) manually in MailEnable.
