- ModSecurity suddenly stopped working
- No errors are found in webserver or Plesk logs
The following error is shown in Event Viewer:
CONFIG_TEXT: The description for Event ID 1 from source ModSecurity cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Cannot open config file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\ModSecurity\vhosts\F8D95F09-14AA-4221-999C-1FB376249059\modsecurity.conf
Wrong permissions on
Log in to Plesk server using RDP;
Make a custom permission .xml file in
%plesk_dir%/etc/DiscSecuritydirectory with the following content:
CONFIG_TEXT: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

Apply the security changes with the command:
C:\> "%plesk_bin64%"\ApplySecurity.exe --apply-to-directory --directory="%plesk_dir%\ModSecurity\vhosts"
