Proxy mode is disabled but "PHP served by Apache" is still available

Symptoms

The Proxy mode directive in Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings is turned off, but an opportunity to choose the handler FastCGI/FPM application served by Apache still exists in Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > example.com > PHP Settings .

Cause

This is Plesk bug #PPPM-5742 which is fixed in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 .

Resolution

Upgrade to the latest Plesk version .
