Unable to create a domain with the national symbols in the domain name: Incorrect DNS record values were specified

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Onyx for Windows

Symptoms

The following error appears during the domain creation:

Error: Failed domain creation: Unable to update domain data: Unable to add the _dmarc.%domain_name_with_specific_symbols%. IN TXT v=DMARC1; p=none record to zone %domain_name_with_specific_symbols%: Incorrect DNS record values were specified.

Cause

This is Plesk internal issue with ID #PPPM-5713 , that is considered to be fixed in future Plesk updates.

Resolution

Remove "_dmarc.\<domain\>. TXT v=DMARC1; p=none" record from DNS templates at Tools & Settings > DNS Template . After that it should be possible to create a domain with the national symbols in the name.

NOTE: Please pay attention to the fact that in this case, all newly created domains will not have this record in its DNS records after creation.
