Is it safe to remove mysql.preupgrade.apsc files from /var/lib/psa/dumps/ directory?

Applicable to:

  • Plesk for Linux

Question

Is it safe to remove mysql.preupgrade.apsc files from the /var/lib/psa/dumps/ directory ?

Answer

These files are the backups of the apsc database that are automatically created before any Plesk upgrade/update.

It is not recommended to remove all mysql.preupgrade.apsc*.dump.gz files, however, the old ones might be deleted. The last ones should be kept to have apsc database backed up.
