Error while creating subscription via CLI: Unable to update domain data: Some fields are empty or contain an improper value. ('period' = '')

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Onyx 17.5 for Windows

Symptoms

The following error occurs on the attempt to create a subscription via CLI:

> plesk bin subscription --create "example.com" -owner "admin" -service-plan "some_plan" -ip "203.0.113.2" -login "user" -passwd "password"
Error while creating subscription: Unable to update domain data: Some fields are empty or contain an improper value. ('period' = '')

Service plan was created via the command line as well:

> plesk bin service_plan --create "some_plan"

Creating a subscription with another service plan works as expected.

Cause

Bug PPPM-6808. The log rotation period was not set for the service plan.

Resolution

Until a fix becomes available, use the additional option to set log rotation period during service plan creation:

> plesk bin service_plan --create "some_plan" -log-bytime Daily

In order to set log rotation period for existing service plan:

> plesk bin service_plan --update "some_plan" -log-bytime Daily
