- Plesk for Linux
A lot of requests come to the Key Administration servers from a single Plesk server.
When opening Plesk > Tools& Settings > License Management page, the following errors appear in
PLESK_INFO: ERR Token validation failed: The license key 'PLSK.XXXXXXXXX' was not verified. Plesk will try to verify license key. Please wait for few minutes and try again. To manually run verification of license key click Retrieve Keys button in "License Management".
Greylisting security is enabled on the server.
This is a Plesk bug with ID PPPM-6573. The fix is planned to be included in one of the next Plesk updates.
Until the bug is fixed, the following workaround can be used:
- Connect to the server via SSH.
psaadmuser to the
# usermod -a -G procread psaadm
Rename the file
# mv /usr/sbin/sw-engine-kv /usr/sbin/sw-engine-kv.bin
Create a script
/usr/sbin/sw-engine-kvwith the following contents:
user=`id -u -n`
if [ "$user" == "root" ]; then
sudo -H -u psaadm /usr/sbin/sw-engine-kv.bin
elif [ "$user" == "psaadm" ]; then
Make the script executable:
# chmod a+x /usr/sbin/sw-engine-kv
# pkill -2 sw-engine-kv
- Remove existing tokens:
# rm /etc/sw/keys/tokens/PLSK*
# rm /etc/sw/keys/tokens/.PLSK*
