PHP handler is automatically getting changed after changing PHP version.

Symptoms

PHP handler is automatically getting changed after changing PHP version in Plesk > Domains > example.com > PHP Settings . Even if the other option FPM application served by nginx is available in drop down section of run PHP as under PHP settings .

Cause

Thhis is Plesk bug #PPPM-5618 which was fixed in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 .

Resolution

Upgrade to the latest Plesk version .

As a workaround, change PHP handler of domains manually at Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > PHP Settings .
