PHP notice at changing system user password: Undefined index: login; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/AbstractCu.php, Line: 491

Symptoms

The following PHP notice appears if trying to change a system user password using /usr/local/psa/bin/subscription utility without -login option:

[root@server ~]# /usr/local/psa/bin/subscription --update example.com -passwd "password"
PHP Notice: Undefined index: login; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/AbstractCu.php, Line: 491

Curl failed: Timeout was reached
SUCCESS: Update of domain 'server.com' completed.

Cause

This is Plesk bug with ID PPPM-1990 which has been fixed in Plesk 12.5.

Resolution

As a workaround:

  • Ignore this PHP notice.

Or:

  • Specify a system user login using -login option:

    [root@server ~]# /usr/local/psa/bin/subscription --update example.com -login user -passwd "password"
    SUCCESS: Update of domain 'example.com' completed.
