- Plesk for Linux
- Plesk for Windows
When trying to restore a backup, the following error appears in Plesk:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: The backup file (xxx_xxx_info_xxxxxxxxxxx.xml.zip) either contains modified or corrupted data, or it was created on another server or in an older Panel version. Upload was blocked. To restore it, contact your server administrator.
PLESK_ERROR: Unable to upload the backup file (backup_info_xxxxxxxxxxx.xml.zip). The file either contains modified or corrupted data, or it was created on another server or in an older Plesk version. To restore data from this file, contact your hosting provider.
When trying to import a backup via a command-line interface, the following error appears:
# plesk sbin pmm-ras --import-file-as-dump --dump-file-specification </path/to/tar/file>
exit status 116
The backup was created on another Plesk server.
By default, all backups are encrypted with the Plesk's internal encryption key, which is unique for each Plesk installation. Backups encrypted with such key can be restored only in the Plesk installation where they were created, and cannot be restored in another Plesk installation.
