NodeJS application does not work if the subscription's user is enabled in the CageFS.

Symptoms

NodeJS application does not work if the subscription's user is enabled in the CageFS.

Apache error log /var/log/httpd/error_log may contain the following error:

Cannot checkout session because a spawning error occurred. The identifier of the error is 912c3777. Please see earlier logs for details about the error.

Cause

Passenger server creates a socket to communicate with NodeJS application (e.g. /tmp/passenger.UR4xOGA/apps.s/node.36hbwz)

Whilst NodeJS application works inside CageFS and has its own private /tmp. Thus, it cannot access to the socket created outside CageFS.
