Unable to save changes to the file in Plesk File Manager in case a system user has been changed

Symptoms

Unable to save changes to the file in Plesk File Manager: OK and Apply buttons are absent after a system user name for the domain has been changed.

The domain has additional FTP user created

Cause

Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-6590 .

The fix is considered to be included in one of the next Plesk updates.

Resolution

Apply one of the following workarounds:

  • Use Ctrl+S to save the file instead of OK and Apply buttons.
  • Open the file /etc/passwd and move system user before additional ftp users.
