Question

How to migrate custom NTFS permissions set on a folder?

Answer

1. On the source server, set the required permissions via Plesk GUI at Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Files > foldername . Detailed instructions are available in the documentation .

2. Migrate the subscription

3. On the target server, check if the correct permissions are set on the folder in Windows Explorer, for example, on C:\Inetpub\vhosts\example.com\httpdocs\foldername . Right-click the folder name and choose Properties , go to Security tab:

4. If the permissions are not correct, make sure that permissions' inheritance is disabled on C:\Inetpub\vhosts\example.com\httpdocs . It can be disabled by opening httpdocs folder Properties > Security tab > Advanced and pressing Disable inheritance button:
