Node.js application error: Could not spawn process for application

Symptoms

Node.js 7.4 is installed.

Node.js application error in /var/log/nginx/error.log :

SyntaxError: Unexpected token function

[ 2017-06-21 07:36:58.6220 24957/7fc1e35cb700 age/Cor/Con/CheckoutSession.cpp:285 ]: [Client 2-4] Cannot checkout session because a spawning error occurred. The identifier of the error is 073799d6. Please see earlier logs for details about the error.

Cause

Node.js version 7.4 does not support async/await.

Resolution

Contact Plesk Technical support regarding the Node.js upgrade.
