Apache fails to start with the following error message:
CONFIG_TEXT: Apache is running a threaded MPM, but your PHP Module is not compiled to be threadsafe. You need to recompile PHP.
The following error message appears on the Home page in Plesk:
PLESK_ERROR: New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: [:crit] [pid 61641:tid 139909147637888] Apache is running a threaded MPM, but your PHP Module is not compiled to be threadsafe. You need to recompile PHP. AH00013: Pre-configuration failed.
OS vendor PHP Module is not compiled to be threadsafe. Plesk is not responsible for this package.
Set Apache MPM mode to prefork:
Via the Plesk interface
In Plesk, switch MPM mode to Prefork at Tools & Settings > Apache Web Server. Apply the changes.
Go to Tools & Settings > Services Management and click the button next to Web Server (Apache) to start Apache.
Via a command-line interface
Connect to a Plesk server via SSH.
Run the following command to the switch Apache MPM mode to prefork:
# plesk bin optimization_settings --set-mpm prefork
On CentOS/RHEL-based distributions:
# service httpd start
On Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions:
# service apache2 start
