When restoring individual objects from a backup, which is stored on a remote storage (FTP, cloud), Plesk downloads the full backup file instead of just individual objects.
Is it possible to restore files from a backup located on an FTP repository without downloading the whole archive onto the Plesk server?
This is a Plesk feature request with ID PPM-2517 that is going to be implemented in future Plesk releases. Feature request on Plesk UserVoice:
In Plesk Obsidian, the disk space necessary for restoring individual objects from backups stored on a remote storage has been reduced.
In Plesk Onyx, Plesk downloads the whole backup from a remote storage.
Mount a network share (e.g. NFS) to your server and store backups there. Plesk will store backup files separately per subscription.
