- Plesk 12.5 for Windows
It is not possible to create a virtual directory inside a physical directory.
There is no Create Virtual Directory button at Domains > example.com > Virtual Directories > some_physical_directory (see the screenshot).
This is a bug with ID PPPM-5378 . The fix is considered to be included in one of the next Plesk updates.
There are two possible workarounds. For example, there is
directory in website's document root:
Select Domains > example.com > Virtual Directories > Create Virtual Directory . Specify the same name
some_physical_directory, uncheck the option Create physical directory with the same name as virtual directory and map it to the same physical directory. After that, specify other parameters, if necessary, and click OK on the warning that a physical directory with the same name already exists.
On the server go to Server Manager > Tools > IIS Manager > Sites > example.com > Content view > some_physical_directory > (right click in any place)Add Virtual Directory... . Specify its name, physical path and click OK .
