  1. It is not possible to create a subdomain or open the Jails tab in Tools & Settings > IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban) . The following error is displayed:

  2. Execution of the following command:

    # dpkg -S /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf

    shows the error like below:

dpkg-query: warning: files list file for package 'iseriesaccess' missing; assuming package has no files currently installed

    OR

dpkg-query: warning: files list file for package 'bind9utils' missing; assuming package has no files currently installed
dpkg-query: warning: files list file for package 'bind9-host' missing; assuming package has no files currently installed

Cause

Corrupted package.

Resolution

The package iseriesaccess is not shipped with Plesk or component bind was not removed correctly. Remove packages specified in warning message:

# dpkg -r iseriesaccess

OR

# dpkg -r bind9utils # dpkg --force-depends -r bind9-host
