- Plesk 12.5 for Linux
Note: This article has the reference to the issue with the fix available:
- #PMT-3320 "During migration, long FTP user names (with 16 or more symbols) were truncated to 15 symbols. Now the maximum length for FTP names is 16 symbols that corresponds to the limitation of Plesk."
Migration Manager truncates user names during migration. For example, after the migration the system user (FTP user) name with 16 characters long gets shortened by one character.
This is Plesk internal issue with ID #PMT-3320 which is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.
Apply one of the following temporary workarounds:
Apply custom fix:
# cd /usr/local/psa/
# wget http://autoinstall.plesk.com/panel-migrator/patches/PMT-3320
# patch -p0 < PMT-3320
Change the user name manually in Plesk under Subscriptions > example.com > Hosting (section on the right panel) > Change Hosting Settings .
