Domain disappears from Plesk after switching to the new business model

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

  • A domain was migrated from Plesk 9.5 by Plesk Migrator.

After switching to the new business model by applying the transition scheme Upgrade to Customer , the domain disappeared from Plesk.

  • The domain has 0 for client Id in Plesk database:

    mysql> select id,name,cl_id from domains where cl_id='0';
    +----+-------------+-------+
    | id | name | cl_id |
    +----+-------------+-------+
    | 1 | example.com | 0 |
    +----+-------------+-------+

Cause

Database inconsistency on the source server. On the source server the migrated domain has a Domain Administrator account which account Id is 0 .

Resolution

  1. Find domains with incorrect account_id value on the source server:

    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -u admin psa -e "select id, name, account_id from domains, dom_level_usrs where domains.id=dom_level_usrs.dom_id and dom_level_usrs.account_id=0"
    +----+-------------+------------+
    | id | name | account_id |
    +----+-------------+------------+
    | 5 | example.com | 0 |
    +----+-------------+------------+
  2. Re-create account_id :

    • Go to: Plesk > Domains > example.com > Domain Administrator Access
    • Enable Allow domain administrator access
    • Define a New password and Confirm password
    • Click OK
  3. Disable the Domain Administrator account if not needed.

  4. Migrate the domain again.
