Can I upgrade or downgrade my Plesk 12 license between editions?
For licenses purchased before March 15, 2016
Upgrades between editions are only available for monthly lease licenses. The following upgrade paths are available:
- Web Admin → Web Pro / Web Host
- Web App → Web Pro / Web Host
- Web Pro → Web Host
Upgrading is only possible within the keys' platform types:
VPS keys can be upgraded to other VPS keys, while dedicated licenses can only be upgraded to dedicated keys.
If modification of your license includes change of the platform: VPS to dedicated, or back, you would need to cancel your current subscription (see article #
for instructions) and then purchase a new key with the desired properties, as described
Please refer to KB #121897 for more information about the difference between Plesk 12 editions.
Downgrades between editions in Plesk 12 are not supported for licenses purchased in Plesk Online Store. If you purchased a lease license for Plesk 12 and would like to downgrade to other edition, please cancel your current license following the instructions and purchase a new license for the required edition.
For resellers/partners' licenses or licenses purchased from Plesk Sales team, the following downgrade path is available:
- Web Host → Web Pro / Web Admin / Web App
- Web Pro → Web Admin / Web App
For licenses purchased after March 15, 2016
Orders placed on or after March 15, 2016 are processed by our order processing vendor cleverbridge. Due to this, licenses for these orders are not stored in Online Store accounts at https://shop.plesk.com/login and do not support upgrade or downgrade between editions .
If you would like to switch your license from one edition to another, please cancel your current license (as described in https://kb.plesk.com/116473 ) and purchase new license for the required edition in our Online Store:
